Here’s a game that I’ve had great fun with youngsters – animal sounds. It takes a bit of explaining and is very noisy but everyone is sure to have a good time.
It gets a bit messy with the pre-schoolers, but they still have fun and it’s a good challenge for them.
For younger kids, it’s helpful to go through animal noises first, so pick the animals your going to use, and ask the children
“What sound does an elephant make?”
Once they’re secure in their sounds, tell them they have to close their eyes, and explain the rules.
I’m going to whisper an animal in your ear.
Once everyone has an animal, you have to make that sound, keeping your eyes closed, and find the other animal that makes that sound.
Once you’ve found them, hold hands with them, and open your eyes.
There’ll be a huge noise when they all start, but they’ll all finish smiling!
